Fiery Night for 7th College

KUALA LUMPUR: Fire artists and other performers gave spectacular shows in conjunction of Za’ba Festival 17/18 (FEZBA) in Seventh Residential College on Wednesday night.

The highlight performance by the fire artists received a standing ovation from the audience that consists of residents from the Seventh Residential College and other colleges and students from other universities as well.
The fiery performance was performed by three fire artists invited from outside of University of Malaya and it also marks the first time that such performance ever been performed within UM.
Other line-up includes a magic show, Indian dance, Silat performance, Az Zahran & Fawwaz nasyid group and Irama Melayu performance. All the performances were performed in the futsal court inside the compound of Seventh Residential College.
The theme for the Wednesday night event was Gala Night: Street Art Performance. Gala Night started at 8:45pm and ended at 10:10pm. It was even merrier with the presence of Food Bazaar that sold various kinds of food.
Talking to the director of FEZBA herself after the Gala Night, Amira Syafiqah Raidee, a 2nd year student from the Faculty of Business and Accountancy, said “Alhamdulilah, it was a successful event, I am very surprised with the number of crowds coming.”
When asked about the selection of the theme Gala Night: Street Art Performance, she explained: “The committee were looking for something to slot in and to attract more crowds, we came up with the theme Gala Night and I invited those who were interested to perform willingly for the night and I also contacted the fire artists to come and perform.”
FEZBA will be running for 5 days starting from 9th to 13th of April 2018 (Monday to Friday) with IDEAS.PASSION.GOALS as its motto. The festival was sponsored by the Ministry of Finance and NIVEA.
